 Location : Doug Jennings Park, The Spit Gold Coast

GETTING TO THE EVENT

 We have a free shuttle bus service departing from Surfers Paradise on Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd at designated times. .

 There will be some road closures on the day and we recommend for an event of this scale that the members of the public use the public transport when possible.

INFORMATION FOR GOLD COAST BOATING PUBLIC

  Please note, the seaway will be closed for short periods of time to commercial and pleasure watercraft.
Broadwater closure times are as follows:

DAY 1	DAY 2	DAY 3
Friday 21st August	Saturday - 22nd August	Sunday - 23rd August
13.30 to 16:00	10:00 to 12:30	09.30 to 11:30
	13:30 to 15:30	13.30 to 15:30

COURSE MAP : The course map will be released on each day of racing but is subject to weather conditions. The race will only run in the approved race area.

BEST PLACE TO VIEW THE RACE

 The boats will be racing in and around the Broadwater and the best place to see all the action is Doug Jennings Park. If you have a boat you are also welcome to watch the race from the water, but there are exclusion zones to ensure the safety of everyone in the water when the race is running.

WHAT ELSE CAN YOU DO AT THE EVENT?

 There’s a lot to see and do during this FREE WEEKEND event. When the boats aren’t racing, check out all the on-land action at XCAT Central (in Doug Jennings Park). Enjoy some food at the food bazaar, take in some entertainment, watch the Showtime FMX Motocross show, or take the children to the kids fun zone for a camel ride, belly dancing, magic show and more!
 XCAT Central is activated from 11am daily on Saturday and Sunday of the event.
 The pits will also be open to the public at specific times, subject to pit crews at the time.
