XDubai edge Swecat on the line for Speed Cat honours

13 June 2015, Cascais - The XDubai team of Arif Al Zaffain and Nadir bin Hendi once again found themselves atop the podium this afternoon. Having claimed the fastest time of the day in the race for Pole Position, the duo went on to claim top honours in the Dubai Duty Free Speed Cat Run later in the day.

XDubai got the better of Team Saracen Australia in the opening round, then defeating Raheeb in the second round of head-to-head racing before beating the Abu Dhabi Team in the penultimate round. They then came up against the speedy Swecat team of Mikael Bengtsson and Erik Stark in the final. The Swedes pulled ahead and led for almost the entire race before hitting a bad wave and landing awkwardly, so allowing XDubai to edge ahead and take the title on the line.

T-Bone Station (Giovanni Carpitella and Marco Pennesi) defeated Abu Dhabi Team (Rashed Al Tayer and Faleh Al Mansoori) in the race-off for third spot. All points gained in the Dubai Duty Free Speed Cat Run count towards the overall Series standings.
