Qatar Team in full flight

21 June 2024 - The Qatar Team of Mohammed Al Nasr and Abdurahman Al Nasser have a special relationship with the water of Lago Maggiore. It’s been a year since they topped an XCAT podium, and the Qatari duo picked the same spot to do it once again – winning this afternoon’s Dubai Duty Free Speed Cat Run in Stresa, just as they did in 2013.

The pair kicked things off with a victory over Global Marine (Roberto Lo Piano and Andrea Comello) in the first round before defeating Raheeb (Abdullateef Al Omani and Jassem Saad) in the second.

They then sped away from T-Bone Station (Luca Fendi and Giovanni Carpitella) in the semifinal before getting the better of the speedy Dubai boat (Salem Al Adidi and Jay Price) in the final.

The Qataris will now be hoping for a strong showing in tomorrow’s main race, the Stresa GP, if they are to improve their current overall Series ranking of 12th.

Fazza (Arif Al Zaffain and Nadir bin Hendi) are the current leaders of the Series and will start the race in top spot after winning today’s race for Emaar Pole Position.
